What does therapy for children look like?
Therapy for children can look quite different. In many cases, therapy for younger children will prompt parents and caregivers to manage the child’s environment to facilitate change, rather than expect a young child to change themselves from the inside out.
What does therapy for adolescents look like?
Adolescents typically have increased autonomy in therapy. Depending on the concerns being addressed, adolescents can often work on issues independently from their parents or caregivers. The autonomy granted to adolescents is typically in proportion to their ability to think critically about the concerns being addressed.
